In God's Time
"In God's Time", produced by Bobby Flores, has a "country flavor" but with musical styles varying from traditional country, to bluegrass, to Israeli folk music. All songs were written by Gene except for Nothing But the Blood/Power in the Blood and Amazing Grace. Bobby Flores, first fiddle for Ray Price for several years, is a 2002 Grammy Award winning musician, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, arranger, producer, composer and first-call session musician. He has brought together some of the top professional musicians in Texas who contributed their talents and expertise to this project utilizing one of the finest recording studios in Texas, BGM Studios, in San Antonio, owned and operated by Sound Engineer, Bill Green.

Set Free
Set Free was recorded with renowned producer, Kevin McManus, of Oak Valley Studio in Nashville, TN, along with some of Nashville's finest pickers! Kevin McManus has been recognized for his superior abilities by the Southern Gospel Industry as well as secular industries. He has won numerous Producer of the Year Awards such as Cashbox, Hearts Aflame (1997), and an Emmy Award (1998). He has also won SGMA's Studio Engineer of the Year in 1998, 2000, 2001,2002 The title song, was written by LaVada, as well as the first cut, A Part of Me. All remaining songs were written by Gene, except for Squire Parson's Sweet Beulah Land.

Recorded at The Family Room, under the superb direction of Robb Tripp, and engineered by Adrian Payne, we are very excited about this project! Robb has won many awards including a Grammy, 5 Angel Awards and 2 percussionists of the year awards. He also has the credits to match his awards, but Robb is most proud of the anointed music that has been produced in his studio. We were also able to get Margie Cates back on the background vocals this time... she and Robb were outstanding on this project!
